Scrabble Champion Waseem Khatri wins Double-Double online Scrabble Championship 2020


Waseem Khatri was the sole delegate of Pakistan in the Double-Double online Scrabble Championship and shockingly, the solitary wolf made it to the finals where he defeated Hubert Wee of Singapore.

64 members participated in Double-Double online Scrabble Championship which concluded effectively. Waseem Khatri was the sole delegate of Pakistan. Shockingly, the solitary wolf made it to the finals.

The competition had nine rounds, and Waseem began his battle with a 3-1 over Marty Gabriel of USA.

Waseem proceeded with his fantasy run and continued bringing down the entirety of his adversaries, that too with sheer predominance. During his profession, Waseem has played more than 1200 Scrabble games, with a success proportion of almost 61%.


Waseem won the first best of five against Hubert Wee to clinch the trophy with ease. Pakistan Scrabble Association  Director Youth Programme Tariq Pervez said:

The entire nation is delighted and very proud of what Waseem Khatri has achieved and he has stamped his class once again as one of the most brilliant scrabble players on earth.


The whole Scrabbling world is praising Waseem's staggering exhibition, and we Pakistanis are unbelievably pleased with him also.
